ChildSafeNet works to protect children and young people in the digital age.
ChildSafeNet (www.childsafenet.org) conducted a cyber safety training at Shree Padma Secondary School, Bhaktapur, Nepal on 7 September 2018. The training benefited 48 students of class 9 (civil engineering). They learned to protect themselves online from cyber grooming, online sexual abuse/exploitation, cyber bullying, phishing and other cyber crimes.
ChildSafeNet organized a cyber safety awareness programme on 27 July 2018 at St. Xavier's School, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, Nepal. The programme benefitted more than 500 class 8-10 students. The founder/president of ChildSafeNet, Anil Raghuvanshi made an interactive presentation on cyber safety and conducted an educational quiz.
An awareness video by Sadhana Budhathoki, a YouTH volunteer, trained on cyber safety by ChildSafeNet. Cyber bullying is a widespread online phenomenon where a child, preteen or teen is intentionally targeted by another minor (children under age of 18) and is humiliated, tormented, or threatened via use of the Internet.
